My 10-year-old daughter and I recently attended The Gateway in Bellport for their Holiday Spectacular featuring Olympic Medalist Nancy Kerrigan. It was my first time at this venue, and it was a delightful surprise. The Gateway is quaint, comfortable, and very welcoming.
Ms. Kerrigan began with a personal introduction, expressing her excitement to be there, doing what she loves in such a great community. The show was a festive medley of our favorite Christmas songs and even included Chanukah tunes. The mix of skaters and singers took us on a journey from high-energy performances to slower, more meaningful moments and back again. Ms. Kerrigan and the crew skated flawlessly on the indoor iced stage. The vocals, including those of local American Idol contestant Shannon Gibbons, were a wonderful surprise.
My daughter was on the edge of her seat throughout the show, captivated by the diverse range of artists of all ages in this exhilarating and beautiful holiday production. I would highly recommend it for families or even as a unique date night experience!
